GIVE ME A BREAK

So we have just stepped into the exam period which means that I will probably not be posting any news the upcoming weeks. "Got to take school serious" momma said..

Anyway, in the end of June - start July, Im going to Roskilde festival which is one of the biggest music festivals in Europe! And during this festival, I will try to take some photos of the coolest, easiest and best festival-looks! So there's something to look forward - if it works which it hopefully will.

AMAZING BEAUTY-BOOKS

Here is a listing of 7 inspiring and guiding beauty-books on the market. If you are a bit of a familiar or just super curious, either way it's never too late to learn something new and be inspired. Knowledge is power!

In the Danish ELLE magazine I found some book reviews over beauty-books and I went down to my locale bookstore, I found all 7 books, sat down in a corner and used around 4 hours to look and read through these books.. Just until a slightly angry clerk told me to either buy the books or leave his bookstore. I walked out, but I still got all the names down of these fantastic books, so voila!

MAKE UP YOUR MIND (Powerhouse Books, 2001)

This book is written by the French make-up artist extraordinaire François Nars who also is the man behind the make-up mark Nars. With before- and after pictures of diverse beauties like Sophie Dahl and Eva Herzigova, this amazing book shows easily step-for-step how you can lay the most beautiful make-up.

FACE FORWARD (Little, Brown & Company, 2001)

The man behind this incredible book is also the make-up artist behind some of the A-list celebrities pretty faces, Kevyn Aucoin ladies! This book shows you how his make-up magic gets the most out of the celebs as well as other mortals. Fascinating makeovers!

TOPOLINO MAKE-UP GAMES (Assouline, 2001)

Simply fine and inspiring. The book doesn't have that much text but there are the most beautiful photos which really does show make-up as art.. Absolutely brilliant!

THE 21st CENTURY BEAUTY BIBLE (Kyle Cathie, 2002)

In this bestseller beauty bible can you read about the absolute best beauty products and about what to do to make you feel delicious both on the inside and outside through different things like diet, yoga and massage.

BOBBI BROWN MAKEUP MANUAL: FOR EVERYONE FROM BEGINNER TO PRO (Headline Springboard, 2008)

We already know the make-up artist Bobbi Brown's delicious make-up. Now you can get tips and good ideas to how you use her fantastic make-up! Bobbi Brown herself calls the book "the ultimate make-up book" and I totally agree with her - super duper delicious book!

THE POWER OF MAKEUP (Simon & Schuster, 2003)

Wether you need help to lay a basic makeup or you already are a génie within the world of make-up, then this book is simply full of indispensable tips and tricks! And as the author of the book says:"what's not to like about make-up". So true, so true..

THE BUSY GIRL'S GUIDE TO LOOKING GREAT (Carlton Books Ltd, 2004)

What do you do when you've put too much blush on the cheek bones? Or your foundation is too dark? How do you fix a manicure in 5 minutes? This book has the answers to all of your beauty questions. So chick!

If you are a big Chanel fan as me, you probably know the feeling of creepy fingers and impatience. Well, here is a new product that brings out that feeling double-up! "Rouge Coco" is the name of the lipstick by Chanel which for "normal" people will look the same as any other lipstick. But! There are small secret details a Chanel-fan will notice at once and enjoy! The sheath is now in metal which makes it easier to cool and therefor gives a more fresh feeling when it is put on. On the lit is now engraved the "double-c" logo and on the lipstick itself - which also have gotten a new lovely smell - is engraved "Chanel". Sounds as small details but it is great happiness! And plus, "Rouge Coco" is now in stores in 30 new adorable colours. It doesn't get much better!

Shu Uemura's Hair-workshop

Shu Uemura's hairproduct series are really the ultimate show-off to have displayed in bathroom. I don't think more stylish products have ever been done. And the products do more tha just look good - the new addition to the Shu Uemura series, "Prime Plenish", smells wonderful of jasmine flowers and gives a lot of care and volume to a lighter damaged hair.

Another miracle by Yves Saint Laurent

This year it is 28 years ago the indispensable concealer "Touche Eclat" was put on the market. Not to sound bitchy but then it was really on time that the new foundation "Teint Radiance" saw the light of the day. A silk-likely and very light foundation which gives a natural spark and leaves the skin perfectly sparkling. With this foundation there is no danger for "the-masque-effect"! With other words, "Teint Radiance" can do exactly the same for the skin as "Touche Eclat" can for circles under the eyes; it helps, it works and accomplishes miracles.

Perfect Prada

Prada is now launching there second fragrance in the "Ephmeral Infusion" series. It is called "Infusion de Tubereuse" and is a very delicate and natural. "Infusion de Tubereuse" is as the suggestion of a flower which in the early hours of dawn hasn't yet been touched by the sun" says Daniela Andrier - "the nose of the fragrance" - for Prada. I say "yes please!"

There are only few good ecologic makeup series and Jane Iredale is certainly among the top. She has just launched a new totally natural spring-look which really is perfection. I specially adore the eyeshadow-palette which has five different but still natural colors to mix and match in different ways - I can't way to try it!

Dare devil!

Marc Jacobs is a little dare devil. A devil which with sadistic manner launches 3 new fragrance on the same time. And you know what? It is not at all fair - it's so damn hard to chose which of the 3 wonderful fragrances can have the free spot on my bathroom shelf. "Apple", who can resist the lovely smell of a fresh green apple which in the same time oozes of energy? Or "Biscotti", a refreshing fragrance of citrus which with its warmth and golden color fits perfectly to every single summer evening? Or, not to forget, "Pomegranate", a lively smell of flowers with an exotic wave of mandarine flowers?... Who said choose.
